PALM CITY, Fla. – Lipscomb Women's Golf competed in the UNCG Advanced Golf Partners Collegiate this week in Palm City, Fla. at the Hammock Creek Golf Club. The Bisons finished 13^th in the field of 18 teams. Lipscomb posted round scores of 311, 303, 303 (+53) over the three rounds, highlighted by a top-10 finish from Casey Yu. 
 
Yu led Lipscomb throughout the entirety of the tournament with especially solid second and third rounds of play. The junior started off with a 75 (+3) in the first round and sat tied for 32^nd in the field. Her second round was her best of the tournament, ripping off a 70 (-2) to shoot up 19 spots on the leaderboard to sit tied for 13^thafter two rounds of play. On the final day, Yu had another solid round, finishing an even to par 72, climbing another seven spots to finish tied for sixth out of 101 golfers. Yu was one of just eight golfers in the field to card an eagle on the week to go with her eight birdies and 36 pars. 
 
Tzunami Polito was also solid for the Bisons, finishing in the top-half of the field with a 46th place finish. Polito was steady throughout the three rounds with scores of 76, 76, 75 (+11). The senior finished her tournament connecting on two birdies and 39 pars, the 13^th-most in the field. Lipscomb's next finisher was senior Lauren Thompson who finished tied for 61^st with scores of 76, 79, 78 (+17). She carded 33 pars and five birdies over her three rounds of play. 
 
The Bisons' final two team finishers were Katya Tibbetts and Mariana Rodriguez. Katya Tibbetts finished 86^thwith scores of 84, 82, 78 (+28) while Rodriguez carded scores of 89, 78, 92 (+43). Katya Tibbetts carded a pair of birdies and 31 pars while Rodriguez had 23 pars and three birdies. 
 
Freshman Sonja Tibbetts competed in her first collegiate tournament this week, having a stellar opening performance competing as an individual. She opened up her collegiate career with an 82 in the first round before firing off a 73 (+1) in her second round. She rounded out her week with an 80 in the third round to finish (+19) and tied for 68^th.

Lipscomb will take the rest of February off, but be back in action at the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate hosted by North Florida on March 3-4. The tournament will be held at the Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
