LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Lipscomb University women's tennis team began Atlantic Sun Conference Play with a 6-1 victory over Bellarmine University from the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bisons picked up the doubles team point with victories at the No. 1 and 2 flights.
Mariia Dolzhenko and
Sofiia Paladi (4-3) won first with a 6-1 score, followed by
Deborah Dominguez Collado/
Rut Galindo (3-1) gave the Bisons the 1-0 lead with a 6-4 victory.
In singles, Lipscomb got the bottom of the lineup rolling quickly with identical 6-1, 6-1 wins for both
Serafima Bobrovnikova (13-7) at the No. 5 spot and
Sofiia Zhylchuk (10-8) at the No. 6 flight to extend the lead to 3-0.
Paladi (21-5) improved to 10-0 in spring dual matches with her 6-1, 6-1 victory at the top flight to secure the match for the Bisons.
Dolzhenko (16-7) and Galindo (6-4) also won in straight-set fashion on Friday. Dolzhenko's 6-2, 6-0 win at the No. 2 flight improved her to 8-1 in the spring as she won her sixth straight contest.

The Bisons will make the short trip to Clarksville on Sunday, weather permitting, for a contest at Austin Peay on Sunday morning.
