BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lipscomb University men's tennis team finished off a weekend sweep to start Atlantic Sun Conference Play with a 5-2 win over Austin Peay State University, Sunday evening from the Michael O. Buchanon Indoor Tennis Facility.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The war started in doubles play. After
Facundo Perlov and
Juan Lombisano picked up the win on court one, APSU used a 7-4 tiebreak to take court two.
Coming down to the No. 3 flight,
Giovanni Ciocca and
Oliver Thoeny battled with Lucas Ranciaro and Giovanni Becchis, but it was APSU that won the doubles point in a tiebreak, 9-7.
Lipscomb came out strong in singles with wins from
Oliver Thoeny (8-13) at the No. 6, 6-1, 6-4, and Perlov on court four, 6-1, 6-1.
Lombisano (14-6) took down Tom Bolton, 7-6 (5), 6-0, on court three to lead 3-1.
After the Governors won court five to make it a 3-2 affair,
Giovanni Ciocca (12-10) clinched the match for the Bisons with a 6-2, 7-6 (4) win at the second flight to secure the road victory for the Bisons.
With the win, the Bisons have won the last three games over the Governors and 11 of the last 12 meetings.
