FLORENCE, Ala. – The Lipscomb University women's tennis team fell 5-2 to the University of North Alabama in an Atlantic Sun Conference contest, Wednesday afternoon from the UNA Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After UNA opened the contest by capturing the doubles point, they took the first three points in singles to clinch the match, earning victories on courts one, three and six. Ada Karabacak clinched the match for the Lions at the third flight, 6-3, 6-4.
The Bisons did see two victories in singles, as
Mariia Dolzhenko (18-7) improved her win streak to eight straight matches with her 6-3, 6-2 result at the No. 2 spot in the lineup.
Deborah Dominguez Collado (8-5) picked up her sixth win of the year when playing at the fourth flight, taking down Eeva Ristola that involved a second-set tiebreak, 6-2, 7-6 (4).
Despite losing the team point in doubles, Dominguez Collado and
Rut Galindo (5-1) made it three straight wins on court two by taking down Mathilde Delaney / Emma Ansorge, 6-4.
Lipscomb has dominated the season series over the Lions in the first eight matchups since the Lions made the move to NCAA Division I. In the ninth overall meeting on Wednesday, UNA secured its first-ever win over the Bisons.
