HOW IT HAPPENED
Iowa State won the tip and took a 6-0 lead, but Lipscomb didn't panic.

Will Pruitt for a layup to get the Bisons on the board and
Gyasi Powell nailed his first triple attempt of the day as Lipscomb trailed 11-5 at the first media timeout of the game.
Out of the timeout, the Bisons earned an offensive rebound and Powell connected on another triple. After a defensive stop,
Jacob Ognacevic showed off his signature jump shot as the Bisons trailed just 11-10.
After a
Joe Anderson steal, Ognacevic got a good look at a triple to tie the game 13-13.
The Bisons started to heat up and took its first lead of the game, 16-15, when
Joe Anderson nailed Lipscomb's fourth triple of the afternoon. The Bisons took the 16-15 lead into the under-12 timeout.
The Cyclones went on a 10-0 run out of the timeout to retake a 27-16 lead before head coach
Lennie Acuff called a timeout. Iowa State continued to be aggressive and got out to its largest lead of the half, 37-21, with 2:44 to play in the frame.
Out of the under-four media timeout,
Will Pruitt converted a traditional three-point play, cutting the lead 37-24, and Lipscomb got a couple of steals, but couldn't convert on the offensive end. An Iowa State triple extended the lead back out 40-24 which held until the halftime buzzer.
The teams traded baskets over the first four minutes of the second half as the Bisons trailed 46-30 at the under-16 second half timeout.
Miles White put in some good second-half minutes, scoring five quick points just before the under-eight media timeout.
Ognacevic continued to be Lipscomb's main source of offense throughout the final minutes of the second half, scoring his 15
th point with 4:45 to play with a triple at the top of the key. Powell continued on to give Lipscomb a 6-0 run before the under-four timeout with the Bisons' eighth trey of the night as the Bisons trailed 73-46.

Jack Ingold who converted a layup off a steal as Lipscomb ultimately fell 82-55. Lipscomb's leading scorer was Ognacevic with 18 points. Powell also finished with double-digits, scoring 11.
The Bisons finished the season 25-10 and secured the school's second-ever ASUN Tournament Championship and NCAA Tournament berth.
