Yu Leads Lipscomb at Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Lipscomb Women's Golf finished 12th out of 16 teams at the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate on Tuesday. The Bisons finished at 940 (+76) with round scores of 316, 306, 318.
Casey Yu led Lipscomb for yet another competition as she tied for eighth place in a field of 87 competitors. She started off her tournament shooting a 79 in the first round before greatly improving in both the second and third rounds with a 73 in each of the rounds to shoot 11 places up the leaderboard. Yu was impressive on Par 5's, finishing second in the tournament, averaging 4.58 in Par 5's. She finished with nine birdies and 30 pars.
Katya Tibbetts was Lipscomb's next finisher as she tied for 39th place with round scores of 79, 77, 80 to finish (+20). She finished the tournament with three birdies and 29 pars. Lauren Thompson finished next, tying for 43rd. Thompson's first round was her best, carding a 75 before carding a 79 and 83 in the second and third rounds, respectively to finish (+21).
The final team scores came from Tzunami Polito and Sonja Tibbetts finishing tied for 70th and in 78th, respectively. Polito scored an 83 in both the first and third rounds and carded a 77 in the second round. Polito had 22 pars and four birdies. Sonja Tibbetts competed as part of team scoring for the first time in her collegiate career this week and put together scores of 84, 81, 82 (+31). She had a birdie and a solid 33 pars.
Bridget Craig competed as an individual and tied for 51st. She carded an 81 in the first round before improving with a 78 and 79 in the final two rounds. She had 35 pars on the tournament.

The Bisons will be back in action for its Spring home tournament on March 24-25 when it hosts The Nashville Invitational at the President's Reserve of Hermitage Golf Course.
