CHATTANOOGA, TN – The Bisons had a quick turnaround after their weekend series against Eastern Kentucky, with just one day of prep work before heading to Chattanooga for a Tuesday evening showdown. Lipscomb entered the matchup in fourth place of the ASUN's Gold Division while the Mocs stood at third in the Southern Conference.
LIPSCOMB 1, CHATTANOOGA 2
The Mocs scored their first run of the game in the bottom of the first after forcing the Bisons into a no-hitter.
The Bisons struggled to get on base before the top of the third.
Macey Ogle reached on an error, but Chattanooga sent three consecutive batters back to the dugout.
Alyssa Hastings earned a walk for the Bisons' second base on the evening in the top of the fourth, but Lipscomb ended the inning scoreless.
Chattanooga scored their second run with a home run single to lead off the top of the fourth.
Elle Smith earned Lipscomb's second walk of the day in the top of the fifth. She advanced to second on a wild pitch and third on a ground out to put the Bisons in a potential scoring position. The Purple and Gold were not able to be sent home and they entered the bottom of the inning down 2-0.
Brenna Sherman recorded the Bisons' first and only hit of the contest with a home run single in the top of the seventh. Her no-doubter wasn't enough and the Mocs pulled away with the win.

The Bisons will continue their road stretch, traveling to Conway, AR for a weekend series against Central Arkansas. The first pitch of Friday's doubleheader is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
