Spiritual Formation in Athletics Welcomes New Assistant Director

Addi Pelham stepped onto Lipscomb University's campus as a student-athlete and has quickly become deeply involved in the community through her passion for faith, service, and connection. She graduated with a degree in Finance in December of 2024 while competing for the Bisons in NCAA Division I volleyball. Throughout her time at Lipscomb, Addi embraced opportunities to grow in her faith, serve others, and build lasting relationships across campus.

Addi has had a successful career with the Bisons, earning three All-ASUN selections as a Right Side Hitter. Off the court, she served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, participated in the Athletic Leadership Summit, and led with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Leadership Team - choosing to invest in the growth and faith of those around her.

Her passion for serving others has taken her far beyond the volleyball court. Addi spent two summers interning with Project 658 Nashville, a nonprofit meeting the physical, financial, and spiritual needs of refugee families in Nashville. She has planned and led summer sports camps with Project 658 and engaged in community outreach through Carter Lawrence and Inner City Ministries. She has also served on mission trips through Lipscomb Athletics, serving in Baja, Mexico alongside teammates and other student-athletes.

In her current role as the assistant director of spiritual formation in athletics, Addi will help organize local outreach opportunities, help lead FCA leaders, plan mission trips, lead on-campus Bible studies and chapels, organize the 555 Prayer Campaign, oversee the monthly email and walk alongside student-athletes in their faith journeys.

Her goal in this role is to encourage athletes to recognize that true purpose and meaning come from Christ and Christ alone - and that every part of their life, including their athletic careers, becomes more fulfilling when surrendered to Him and led by His spirit.
