Non-Conference Schedule Announced for Men’s Basketball

NASHVILLE – The defending ASUN Tournament Champions in the Lipscomb University men's basketball team will play 13 non-conference games for the 2025-26 season, announced by first-year head coach Kevin Carroll. Five matchups will take place inside Allen Arena.

"We are thrilled to announce the completion of our schedule and kick off another exciting season of Lipscomb Basketball. Our non-conference slate blends a balance of regional rivalries with competition against some of college basketball's most storied programs. Our ultimate goal is to compete for another ASUN championship, and this non-conference schedule is a crucial step in that journey," said Carroll.

The Bisons will open with three straight games on the road, but the first one will not be much of a trip, as they will head to West End to take on Vanderbilt on Monday, Nov. 3. The two teams will play each other for the first time in nearly 11 years.

The trip continues to south Georgia to face the Bears of Mercer University on Nov. 9, which is the first of two games for Lipscomb in the ASUN-SoCon Challenge. This will be the first time the two teams will play on the hardwood since being ASUN foes during the 2013-14 season.

Lipscomb will wrap up the three-game road swing on Nov. 11 with a trip to Asheville, North Carolina to face UNC Asheville. The Bisons won the previous matchup against the Bulldogs in 2023 at a neutral site in Montreal.

The home opener for the Bisons will take place on Sunday, Nov. 15, as they host Bryan College (Tenn.) for a 4 p.m. tip in Allen Arena.

On Wednesday, Nov. 19, the Battle of the Boulevard will occur at the Curb Event Center. The matchup with the Belmont Bruins will take place at 7 p.m., after the Lipscomb women face Belmont.

The Bisons return to Allen Arena on Saturday, Nov. 22, for the second game of the ASUN-SoCon Challenge against Western Carolina. This will be the first contest between the Bisons and Catamounts in program history.

After that, Lipscomb will spend Thanksgiving on the road with two games at Marshall (Nov. 26) and Southeast Missouri State (Nov. 29).

The Bisons will have back-to-back games at home for the first time as the calendar shifts to December. The first opponent will be Tennessee Tech on Dec. 3 for an 11 a.m. tip, followed by Alabama A&M on Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. as a part of a doubleheader with the women.

After final exams, the Bisons will play three games, with two on the road. The first trip will be to Duke, who advanced to the Final Four in last season's NCAA Tournament. The Bisons and Blue Devils will meet for the first time on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.

The home non-conference schedule will wrap up with a game against Blue Mountain Christian (Miss.) for a 1 p.m. tip on Saturday, Dec. 20.

The final non-conference tuneup will take place at Cincinnati on Monday, Dec. 29, marking the fourth time the two teams have squared off in program history.

"Our games against the likes of Vanderbilt, Duke and Cincinnati will challenge us while also bringing national recognition to our program and providing our fan base with some exciting experiences," said Carroll.
