LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Lipscomb Track & Field delivered a historic two-day performance at the Lenny Lyles Invitational, highlighted by multiple event wins, school records, NCAA-leading marks, and personal bests across sprints, hurdles, distance, and field events at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
The Bisons turned heads on both days of competition, led by standout performances from Savannah Nuetzel, Levi Streeval, and Hannah Wright, as Lipscomb continued to build momentum midway through the indoor season.
Friday opened with a dominant showing on the track. Savannah Nuetzel claimed first place in the Women's 400m, clocking 56.99, before adding a solid performance in the 200m later in the day. In the men's 400m, Wessel Vandernest (51.16) and Nathan Wallace (51.95) posted strong times.
The highlight of Friday came in the Men's 800m, where Levi Streeval produced a historic run, winning the event in 1:47.45. The performance set a new Lipscomb school record, ranks third in NCAA Division I, and currently sits third nationally this indoor season. On the women's side, Ellie Brewer placed third overall in 2:11.89, leading a deep Lipscomb group.
Distance events continued to shine as Liza Corso placed second in the Women's 3000m, running 9:18.59 — a personal best that ranks 45th in the NCAA. In the men's 3000m, Max Hooper led the way with a ninth-place finish, while several Bisons posted personal bests.
