JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Announced by the Atlantic Sun Conference on Tuesday afternoon, Mariia Dolzhenko and Sofiia Paladi have been named to the Women's Tennis Preseason All-ASUN Team. 

Dolzhenko, a junior from Kharkiv, Ukraine, was a First Team All-ASUN selection in 2025 and has earned All-ASUN accolades in each of her first two seasons. 

In 2024-25, she secured a 14-5 singles record in spring matches and a 22-11 record between fall tournaments and spring duals. 

In doubles, she had a 13-5 mark, including a 9-3 record at the top flight. She picked up back-to-back wins last season in the conference tournament over Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson with partner Sofiia Paladi. 

So far after the fall season in 2025-26, Dolzhenko has a 9-3 record in singles and 7-5 in doubles. 

Paladi, a senior from Odessa, Ukraine, is a two-time All-ASUN First Team honoree after securing the accolade last season. Additionally, she enters 2026 as the reigning ASUN Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year. 

One of the top players returning for the conference this upcoming season, she had a 15-4 singles record last season, all coming from the top flight. Including her 11 wins during fall play. 

She also added 16 wins in doubles play a year ago. 

So far in 2025-26, she has a 5-5 record in singles play, but in doubles, she has a 12-4 record. She, along with Deborah Dominguez Collado, reached the finals of the Milwaukee Tennis Classic back in September, defeating teams from Wisconsin, Purdue and Ole Miss. 

The Bisons will open the spring schedule on Friday, Jan. 16 at home against Tennessee State. First serve is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. from the Ensworth Tennis Center.
