
Lipscomb Sits Third After Two Rounds at West Bay Collegiate Invitational

ESTERO, Fla. – The Lipscomb Men's Golf team opened play at the West Bay Collegiate Invitational on Monday with a strong 36-hole performance, finishing the day in third place at 17-under par.
The Bisons carded rounds of 277 (-11) and 282 (-6) at the par-72, 6,939-yard West Bay Club to finish the opening day with a team total of 559 (-17). Lipscomb sits just one stroke behind co-leaders Florida Gulf Coast and Appalachian State, who both finished the day at 558 (-18). WBCI - Day One Leaderboard
Toby Bishop and Andrew Sciortino led the way for the Bisons, finishing the day tied for fifth individually at 5-under (139). Both players opened with rounds of 68 (-4) before following with matching 71s (-1) in the second round. WBCI - Day One Leaderboard
Grant Tabar finished just one stroke behind the pair, sitting tied for ninth at 4-under (140). After opening with an even-par 72, Tabar fired a 4-under 68 in the second round.
Angelo Martinez also finished the day under par, shooting rounds of 69 (-3) and 72 (E) to sit tied for 15th at 3-under (141). Ciaran Murphy rounded out the Lipscomb lineup with a two-round total of 148 (+4) after rounds of 72 and 76. WBCI - Day One Leaderboard
Lipscomb also had Alexander Moeldrup competing as an individual. Moeldrup opened with a 78 (+6) before improving by four strokes in the second round with a 74 (+2). He finished the opening day in 74th place at 152 (+8). WBCI - Day One Leaderboard
