Lipscomb Finishes Fourth at Florida Atlantic Invitational

JUPITER, Fla. – Lipscomb Men's Golf wrapped up the Florida Atlantic Invitational on Tuesday with a fourth-place finish at 11-under par following three rounds at The Bears Club.

The Bisons put themselves in position for another top-five finish with a strong opening day Monday, completing the first 36 holes at 10-under and sitting fourth on the team leaderboard. Lipscomb held onto that position through Tuesday's final round, finishing the two-day tournament fourth overall at 11-under.

Angelo Martinez led the way for the Bisons, finishing tied for eighth individually at 6-under. Martinez opened the tournament with a 2-over 74 before making a significant move in the second round with a 5-under 67. He carried that momentum into Tuesday, firing a 3-under 69 to close the tournament with back-to-back rounds in the 60s.

Toby Bishop also started the tournament strong, firing a 4-under 68 in the opening round. He followed with an even-par 72 in Monday's second round and closed with a 2-over 74 on Tuesday to finish tied for 24th at 2-under.

Andrew Sciortino joined Bishop in a tie for 24th at 2-under. Sciortino remained steady throughout the opening day with consecutive even-par 72s before recording his best round of the tournament Tuesday with a 2-under 70.

Grant Tabar finished tied for 28th at 1-under for the tournament. After an even-par 72 in the opening round, Tabar carded a 3-under 69 in round two and finished with a 2-over 74 in the final round.

Rounding out the Lipscomb lineup, Ciaran Murphy finished tied for 68th at 13-over, recording rounds of 74, 76 and 79.

Competing as an individual for the Bisons, Alexander Moeldrup finished 63rd overall. Moeldrup opened with a 79 and followed with a 77 during Monday's 36 holes before carding an 80 in Tuesday's final round.

The fourth-place finish gives Lipscomb its second consecutive top-five result, following a fifth-place finish at the JT Poston Invitational.
