NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb University Women's Tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss to Xavier University to open the outdoor portion of the home schedule on Saturday from the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In doubles,
Mariia Dolzhenko and
Serafima Bobrovnikova took down Madeleine Rexroat and Ella DeFord on court two, 6-1. However, the Musketeers secured wins on the first and third flights to secure the team point.
In singles, the Bisons struggled with the Musketeers, as the visitors took each flight to sweep the contest. Bobrovnikova used a 7-5 win in the second set on court five to force a third-set break, but ultimately fell to Clara Owen, 14-12.

The Bisons will remain at home, but they will return to the Ensworth Tennis Center for a match with Illinois State indoors next Saturday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m.
