GAME: COASTAL CAROLINA 10, LIPSCOMB 2 (5 INNINGS)
CLEMSON, SC – Lipscomb Softball closed the weekend Sunday at the Clemson Tournament with a 10–2 loss to Coastal Carolina in the rematch.
The Bisons jumped out early in the top of the first inning, using aggressive base running to take a 2–0 lead. Briley Burns and Chapel Cunningham swiped bases, with Cunningham scoring on a throwing error, before Elizabeth Martin lifted a sacrifice fly to bring home Burns.
Coastal Carolina responded quickly in the bottom of the second inning, using multiple home runs to swing momentum and take the lead. The Chanticleers continued to add on in the third inning, extending the advantage and creating separation.
Lipscomb continued to compete but was unable to slow Coastal Carolina's offense, as the game was called after five innings.
