Bisons Fall to No. 1 Tennessee After Weather Delay

GAME: #1 TENNESSEE 12, LIPSCOMB 0
NASHVILLE, TN – Lipscomb Softball fell to No. 1 Tennessee, 12–0, on Thursday morning after the game resumed following a weather delay from Wednesday night.
The contest originally began Wednesday afternoon before weather halted play in the second inning. Action resumed Thursday with Tennessee holding an early lead.
The Volunteers continued to build momentum offensively, adding runs throughout the middle innings to extend their advantage.
Despite the result, the Bisons continued to battle against the nation's top-ranked team before the game concluded after five innings.
UP NEXT
The Bisons will open conference play this weekend with a doubleheader against Bellarmine Saturday, March 14, and a single game at 12 p.m. on Sunday March 15.
