JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Wrapping up their week in Jacksonville, the Lipscomb University Women's Tennis team suffered a heartbreaking 4-3 loss to Appalachian State University from the University of North Florida Tennis Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Things started poorly for the Bisons, as App State took the doubles point with wins on court one and three.
The Mountaineers made it a 2-0 match lead, as No. 8 Savannah Dada-Mascoll won court one over
Sofiia Paladi.
However, the Bisons got to work.
Serafima Bobrovnikova (10-5) swept Allegra Hodson on court four, 6-3, 6-4. Then,
Mariia Dolzhenko (16-8) evened the affair at two team points each with a crucial 7-5, 7-5 dub over Naledi Manyube.
Lipscomb took a 3-2 match lead thanks to
Sofiia Zhylchuk's 6-4, 7-6 win on court six. Going into a tiebreak in set two, Zhylchuk (11-6) rolled past Ruby Broadbent 7-3 to put the Bisons one win away from a come-from-behind victory.
However, the Mountaineers edged the Bisons on courts three and five to take the match.
UP NEXT
Wrapping up their final road trip of the season, the Bisons will play the final eight matches of the regular season in Nashville. Lipscomb will return home to take on Belmont on Sunday.
Due to high winds forecasted for Sunday, the match will be moved from Belmont's outdoor courts to the Ensworth Tennis Center. The contest will still start at 1 p.m.
