NASHVILLE, TN – Lipscomb Softball dropped both games of Saturday's ASUN doubleheader to Central Arkansas, falling 10–2 in six innings in Game 1 and 9–0 in five innings in Game 2.
GAME 1: CENTRAL ARKANSAS 10, LIPSCOMB 2 (6 INNINGS)
Central Arkansas jumped out to an early lead with a two-run home run in the first inning and continued to build momentum with a big second inning.
The Bears added runs throughout the middle innings to extend their lead to 8–0 before Lipscomb got on the board in the third inning.
Briley Burns doubled to left field to drive in Kyla Jobe before Josephine Heuberger followed with an RBI groundout to bring home Burns, cutting the deficit to 8–2.
Central Arkansas added insurance runs late to secure the 10–2 run-rule victory.
GAME 2: CENTRAL ARKANSAS 9, LIPSCOMB 0 (5 INNINGS)
Central Arkansas struck first in the second inning and quickly built separation with multiple runs in the frame.
The Bears continued to add on in the fourth inning, extending their lead to 9–0.
Lipscomb was unable to generate offense in the contest as Central Arkansas secured the run-rule win in five innings.

Lipscomb will return to action Sunday, March 22nd for the final game of the series.
