Box Score CLARKSVILLE, TN – Lipscomb Softball bounced back in a big way on Sunday afternoon, defeating Austin Peay 10–7 in a high-scoring series finale.
Austin Peay struck first with a run in the second inning, but the Bisons responded in the third. Macyn Kirby scored on a throwing error to tie the game before Josephine Heuberger added an RBI single. Moments later, Kyla Jobe launched a two-run home run as Lipscomb surged ahead 4–1.
Austin Peay answered with a two-run homer in the bottom half of the inning to cut the lead to 4–3.
The Bisons extended their advantage in the fourth inning. Mallory Ogle scored on an error before Presley Rader crushed a two-run home run to center, pushing the lead to 7–3.
Austin Peay continued to battle back, scoring twice in the sixth inning and later tying the game at 7–7 to set up a dramatic finish.
In the top of the seventh, Elizabeth Martin delivered the decisive blow, launching a three-run home run to left field to give Lipscomb a 10–7 lead.
The Bisons held on in the bottom half to secure the win and close out the series.
