FORT MYERS, Fla. – In the semifinals of the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Tennis Tournament, the Lipscomb University Women's Tennis team suffered a 4-2 loss to Florida Gulf Coast University on Friday evening from the FGCU Tennis Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Sofiia Paladi and
Deborah Dominguez Collado picked up their 20th win of the season as a doubles team and 14-2 in the spring campaign with a 6-1 score on court two, but FGCU took the team point with their clincher on court one.
The Eagles made it a 2-0 lead with a dub on court four, but
Mariia Dolzhenko (23-6) earned her 14th spring win, rallying from a 4-6 loss in set one to win 6-3, 6-1.
Paladi (18-11) tied the team score with two team points apiece, also rallying from a first-set loss. Falling 4-6 in set one, she stormed back to defeat Nora Svensson 6-4, 6-0 to take the top flight.
Unfortunately, the Eagles took back control of the match with wins on courts five and sixto secure the match and advance to the final on Saturday.
HERD NOTES
Lipscomb made its 17th ASUN Tournament since the Bisons joined in the league in 2004, and Friday's contest was the eighth semifinal appearance in program history.
