NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb University Baseball team was defeated by Tennessee Technological University by a 15-5 score inside Ken Dugan Field at Stephen Lee Marsh Stadium on Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Tennessee Tech's scoring opened with five singles and two hit batters, leading to six runs. The Bisons responded with a walk to
Cam Pruitt, who later scored on a double by
Kai Holm to make it a 6-1 score.
In the second,
Jacob Tobias laced a double down the right field line to score
Damion Kenealy Jr. to make it a 6-2 deficit.
The fourth inning saw the Bisons rally continue as
Danny Ramirez singled and
Cole Pippenger hit a line-drive, two-run homer to make it a ball game, 6-4.
However, TTU added six runs in the fifth inning, capitalizing on an error and a series of walks, extending their lead to 12-4. The Bisons'
Jordan Thomas tripled in the bottom half, and Pruitt's sacrifice fly brought him home for a 12-5 score.
In the sixth inning, the Golden Eagles scored three more runs to put the game in run-rule effect, benefiting from a passed ball and a series of singles, making it 15–5. The Bisons managed a double by Pippenger but could not score.
KEY STATISTICS
Cole Pippenger led with two hits, including a home run, and drove in two runs.
Jordan Thomas added a triple and scored a run in the game.
Caleb Pica provided some relief, pitching a Lipscomb-best four innings in the pen and striking out four.
