HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first inning, Hutson Miles singled and advanced on a wild pitch, setting the stage for Jordan Thomas to ground out but bring Miles home for the first run. Lipscomb led 1–0 after one inning.

The second inning saw the Bisons extend their lead. Keaton Mahan used a free pass, and an Alejandro Ludeiro single allowed  Mahan to advance to third. A subsequent error allowed Mahan to score, and an RBI single by Miles brought Ludeiro home, making it 3-0.

In the third, Thomas posted his seventh home run of the season over the right field wall, extending the lead to 4-2.

The Bisons added three more runs in the fourth with Brady Miller scoring on a hit-by-pitch RBI, followed by Miles scoring on a wild pitch. Cam Pruitt then scored on a single by Damion Kenealy Jr., pushing the lead to 7-2.

After EKU scored two runs in the second to make it a 3-2 score, Alexander Llinas retired eight straight batters and worked out a couple of base runners to get out of the jam in the fifth. He would earn the quality start with six innings of two-run ball.

The scoring paused until the ninth inning, where Jacob Tobias walked and advanced on a wild pitch. After a Miles walk, Pruitt then tripled down the right field line, driving in two runs and solidifying the Bisons 9-3 win.
