NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb University Women's Tennis team saw three student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team, announced on Tuesday (May 12).
Deborah Domiguez Collado,
Sofiia Paladi and
Sofiia Zhylchuk were honored on the listing. All three were named to the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Academic Team back in April.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's tennis honorees in four divisions -- NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To qualify for the award, student-athletes must carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 and must play in 75% of dual contests (regional competition such as ITAs and non-team scored events do not count).
Dominguez Collado, a junior from Guatemala City, Guatemala, earned her first Academic All-District honor. Posting an 8-7 mark in singles during the spring season, she posted a 15-2 record, including 14-2 with partner Paladi. Moving to the No. 2 doubles flight at the end of February, the duo went on a run, going a perfect 11-0.
Paladi, a senior from Odessa, Ukraine, collected her third straight Academic All-District accolade. Finishing her Lipscomb career with over 150 wins between singles and doubles dual action and fall tournaments, she held a 13-6 mark at the top flight over the spring season and secured an All-ASUN First Team accolade for the third consecutive year.
Zhylchuk, a junior from Rivne, Ukraine, picked up her first career Academic All-District honor in 2026. An anchor for the Bisons at the bottom of the lineup, she posted a 12-6 spring record at the No. 6 flight and ended the regular season with a seven-match winning streak.
