NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb University Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Nick Polk has announced the addition of 25 student-athletes to the Bisons' 2026 signing class, the largest recruiting class in program history.
The class features athletes from across the United States and four countries while adding talent to every event group, including cross country, distance, sprints, hurdles, jumps, and relays. The incoming group is comprised of accomplished high school standouts, collegiate transfers, and international competitors who will further strengthen one of the Atlantic Sun Conference's premier programs.
"We have wrapped up our 2026 incoming class and are very excited about the future of our program," Polk said. "We're bringing in our biggest class ever and across a wide range of events. We will be as talented as ever and we're looking forward to seeing what this group can do at the ASUN and NCAA level!"
The women's distance group headlines the class with one of the deepest collections of talent in recent program history. Seven incoming runners have already posted sub-5:00 performances in the 1600 meters or mile, while several own sub-18-minute 5K cross country marks. The sprint and hurdle group also adds exceptional depth with multiple sub-56-second 400-meter runners, elite hurdlers, and accomplished jumpers.
On the men's side, the Bisons welcome an impressive blend of proven collegiate performers and standout prep athletes. The distance class includes several sub-4:10 milers and accomplished cross country runners, while the sprint group features multiple athletes with personal bests under 10.70 seconds in the 100 meters and under 22 seconds in the 200 meters.
The 2026 class reflects the continued national and international reach of the Lipscomb program, with signees representing 11 states along with Australia, Canada, Germany, and Costa Rica. The group is expected to make an immediate impact as the Bisons continue competing for ASUN championships and NCAA postseason opportunities.
