
Women’s Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Honor for Fourth Straight Season; Eight Named Scholar-Athletes

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Lipscomb University Women's Tennis team was recognized on the 2025-26 ITA Academic Awards, announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Monday.
The ITA administers two academic awards: ITA All-Academic Teams and the ITA Scholar-Athletes.
For the fourth straight year, the Bisons secured a spot on the All-Academic Team, and it is the 10th time in program history since 2004 they have been recognized.
After boasting a 3.81 fall GPA, they followed up with a 3.74 in the spring.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
Former members Austin Peay and North Alabama, now in the United Athletic Conference, were also listed.
In addition, eight of the nine players on the roster were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes: Serafima Bobrovnikova, Martina Bovio, Alina Cherniaieva, Deborah Dominguez Collado, Leena Hamdan, Sofiia Paladi, Kameliia Tytarenko and Sofiia Zhylchuk.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
Bovio, Bobrovnikova and Tytarenko saw themselves listed for a second straight year.

- Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
- All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
- All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
