Men's Basketball Finalizes 2026-27 Schedule

18 games on the non-conference schedule, with four, Auburn, Ohio State, Purdue and Iowa, competing in the postseason in 2025-26.
NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb University Men's Basketball team has announced that the non-conference portion of the 2026-27 schedule is complete, per head coach Kevin Carroll.
Eighteen games are scheduled, with eight slated to be played inside Allen Arena.
Of the 18 games, four teams qualified for the postseason last season. Both Iowa and Purdue, who the Bisons will play in November, reached the Elite Eight of the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
Ohio State also qualified for the NCAAs, falling to TCU in the first round.
Auburn, who was one of the first four teams out of the NCAA Tournament last year, participated in the NIT and went on to win the 32-team field.
"We're thrilled to unveil our schedule and kick off another exciting season of Lipscomb Basketball. Our non-conference lineup is intentionally crafted to challenge us and prepare us for the demands of ASUN play," said Carroll.
"This year, our fans will see us face 12 teams before conference action that each posted 18 or more wins last season—including three NCAA Tournament participants and a team that captured the NIT championship. Competing against this caliber of opposition will push us to grow as a team and ensure we're fully prepared for the battles ahead in conference play."
The Bisons will start the 2026-27 schedule at Southeast Missouri State on Monday, Nov. 2. The following day, they will head up to Iowa to face off on the hardwood for the first time in program history.
The home opener for the Purple and Gold will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7 as a part of Bisons Weekend. As a part of the doubleheader with the women, Lipscomb will face SIU Edwardsville. This will be the first time the two teams matched up in men's basketball since Nov. 22, 2011 in Cancun, Mexico and the first in Allen Arena since Dec. 10, 2009.
The quick home stand concludes with the Battle of the Boulevard, as Belmont comes down to Allen Arena on Tuesday, Nov. 10 in the 153rd edition of the rivalry.
Lipscomb will hit the road for three straight: Western Carolina (Nov. 14), Purdue (Nov. 17) and Alabama A&M (Nov. 20).
Another NCAA Elite Eight team from a year ago, the Boilermakers return to the schedule for the third time in the program's Division I era. Lipscomb makes the return to Mackey Arena for the first time since Dec. 30, 2017.
After a "pit stop" back in Allen Arena for a home date with in-state foe Milligan on Saturday, Nov. 22, the Bisons hop back on the road for Thanksgiving with two Power Four schools in Auburn (Nov. 24) and Ohio State (Nov. 29).
The Tigers are back on the Bisons' schedule for the first time since Dec. 29, 2019, and this will be the third time they will face off against each other, all coming from Neville Arena.
The Buckeyes and Bisons will meet for the second time in program history for a post-Thanksgiving matchup. The last meeting came on Nov. 24, 2009.
After a road-laden November, seven of the first 10 games of the schedule, the December schedule is more favorable for the Bisons, with five of the next eight happening inside Allen Arena.
The first two-game home stand starts with UNC Asheville (Dec. 2) and Rhodes (Dec. 5).
After a two-game trip to Eastern Kentucky (Dec. 13) to start the ASUN/UAC Crossover and Western Kentucky (Dec. 16), the Bisons will welcome Southeast Missouri State for a second meeting with the Redhawks this season on Saturday, Dec. 19.
The Bisons will head to Clarksville to take on Austin Peay (Dec. 21) in the second game of the ASUN/UAC Crossover before breaking for Christmas.
Following the break, the Bisons will host two games as a part of the ASUN/UAC Crossover with West Georgia (Dec. 31) and North Alabama (Jan. 2) to wrap up the non-conference schedule.
Announced in July was the ASUN Conference schedule. The Bisons will start that portion of the schedule on Thursday, Jan. 7 at Jacksonville.
