Bisons Tied for Fifth After Opening Round of JT Poston Invitational

WAYNESVILLE, N.C. – Lipscomb Men's Golf opened play at the JT Poston Invitational on Sunday, finishing the first round tied for fifth at Waynesville Golf Club.
The Bisons placed four golfers at even par or better during the opening 18 holes, led by Toby Bishop and Ciaran Murphy, who each carded a 2-under 69. The pair enters the second round tied for 20th individually.
Grant Tabar and Andrew Sciortino followed one stroke behind, each firing a 1-under 70 to sit tied for 28th.
Angelo Martinez rounded out the Lipscomb lineup with an even-par 71, placing him tied for 41st after the opening round.
With all five Bisons at par or better, Lipscomb closed Day One tied for fifth in the team standings heading into the second round of competition.
