Bisons Climb to Tie for Second After Day Two of JT Poston Invitational

WAYNESVILLE, N.C. – Lipscomb Men's Golf made a move up the leaderboard Monday, climbing into a tie for second at 22-under par through two rounds of the JT Poston Invitational at Waynesville Golf Club.
The Bisons were led by a strong second-round performance from Ciaran Murphy, who fired a 5-under 66 to move into a tie for eighth individually at 7-under. Murphy followed his opening-round 69 with the 66 to sit at 135 through 36 holes.
Andrew Sciortino also carded a 5-under 66 in the second round, moving into a tie for 10th at 6-under par. Sciortino has posted rounds of 70 and 66 for a two-round total of 136.
Angelo Martinez made one of the biggest jumps for the Bisons on Day Two. After opening with an even-par 71, Martinez matched Murphy and Sciortino with a 5-under 66, moving into a tie for 14th at 5-under.
Toby Bishop sits tied for 24th at 3-under par after rounds of 69 and 70, while Grant Tabar rounds out the Lipscomb lineup in a tie for 67th at 2-over following rounds of 70 and 74.
Lipscomb will enter Tuesday's final round tied for second at 22-under, looking to close out the JT Poston Invitational with a strong final 18 holes.
