Bisons Secure Shutout Over Tennessee Tech 1-0

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Lipscomb defeated Tennessee Tech 1-0 Sunday. The Bisons finished with a 15-5 shot advantage, including 11 shots in the second half, and held Tennessee Tech to two shots on goal.
First Half
- The Bisons created the first attacking stretch with corner kicks at 5:15 and 7:49 around an Annalise Cannada shot that went right.
- Sunnie Woodard saved Kennedy Dade's shot at 13:24, and Colby Cook later put a shot on goal for the Bisons at 21:33 that Laila McNamee saved.
- Tennessee Tech had another look go wide in the 29th minute before the Bisons put two more shots on goal from Tatum Ahlemeyer and Haylee Dean, both saved by McNamee, as the match stayed 0-0 at halftime.
Second Half
- The Bisons generated early pressure with shots at 46:48 and 48:11, including Katie Brightwell's attempt saved by Laila McNamee, and added a corner kick before another shot at 56:37.
- Ahlemeyer put the Bisons in front 1-0 at 61:53 off an assist from Abigail Ross.
- The Bisons followed with three corner kicks from 65:43 to 68:50 and later forced another save on Cannada's shot at 73:36.
- Tennessee Tech put a shot on goal at 84:40, saved by Sunnie Woodard, before the Bisons closed out the 1-0 win.
Ahlemeyer scored the game-winning goal and finished with three shots, including two on goal. Ross tallied an assist and added a shot. Sunnie Woodard made two saves over 90 minutes and recorded the shutout.
The Bisons are 3-1-2 overall. Tennessee Tech is 2-3-2 overall.
