2023 Track and Field:

• Competed in two indoor meets and three outdoor meets for the Bisons this season
• Ran the mile and 3,000m for indoor
• Opened the indoor season with a 4:22.84 mile at the Commodore Challenge to finish 17th overall
• Ran the 800m, 1,500m, and 5,000m for outdoor
• Earned a 13th place finish in the 1,500m at the Joe Walker Invitational with a time of 3:55.88

2022 Cross Country:

• Competed in three meets this season for the Bisons
• Claimed a top-10 finish with a time of 26:30.9 to finish 6th in the 8k at the Trevecca Michael Pretorius Invite
• Earned a personal best in the 8k at the Gans Creek Classic, hosted by the University of Missouri, with a time of 25:34.3 to finish 132nd overall
• Finished 50th overall at the UAB Blazer Classic with a time of 26:05.8 in the 8k

2022 Track and Field:

• Competed in five indoor meets and four outdoor meets
• For indoor - competed in the 800m, the mile, the 3000m, and the 4x800m relay
• Kicked off the season with a sixth place finish in the mile at the Commodore Indoor (4:11.32)
• At the Gladstein Invitational, finished second in the 4x800m relay at 7:46.01 and eighth in the 800m at 1:56.84
• Earned a personal best time of 8:21.53 in the 3000m at the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic to finish second, the eighth fastest men's indoor 3000m time in program history
• Logged a personal best in the 800m at the GVSU Big Meet to finish 12th with a 1:56.25
• At the ASUN Indoor Championship, earned a personal best in the mile at 4:10.40 to finish seventh and finished 17th in the 3000m with a time of 8:31.38
• His mile time at the ASUN Indoor Championship ranks as the fifth-fastest time in men's indoor program history
• For outdoor - competed in the 1500m
• Put up his personal best time and earned his best finish at the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Invitational with a 3:52.77 to finish 12th
• Crossed the line 15th at the ASUN Outdoor Track and Field Championship with a time of 3:54.29

2021 (Fall) Cross Country:

• Competed in three meets for the Bisons
• Earned his season-best finish at the North Alabama Showcase when he crossed the line 83rd with a time of 26:27.3
• Posted his season-best time of 26:05.7 at the Louisville Classic to finish 226th
• Ran a 27:12.0 at the UAB Blazer Classic to finish 93rd

2021 Track and Field:

• Competed in two indoor meets and four outdoor meets
• Indoor - ran the 3000m, 5000m, and the mile
• Best finish was fourth place in the mile at the ASUN Indoor Track & Field Championships
• Outdoor - ran the 800m, 1500m, 5000m, and the 4x400m 
• Best finish was second place in the 1500m at the Sycamore Open with a 3:56.35 finish

2021 (Spring) Cross Country:

• Competed in three meets
• Logged his best finish at 23rd with a time of 26:40.02 in the Belmont Opener
• Posted his season-best time of 26:36.3 in the Lipscomb Winter Classic to finish 38th
• Finished 32nd in the ASUN Championship with a time of 27:00.9

2020 Track and Field:

• Competed in three meets
• Ran the 3000m, 800m, mile, and 4x400m

2019 Cross Country:

• Ran in four meets
• Ran a season-best time of 25:56.5 at the Louisville Classic.

High School: 

• Ran at North Lincoln
• 3x All-State, 4x All-Region, 4x All-District
• 3-year team captain
• 3-time team MVP
• 2x team state cross country champions and 1x track champions
• Member of 4x800m indoor title holders
• School record in the 1000m, 3200m, and 5000m

• Parents are Dawn and John Risse
• Has two brothers, Jason (also on the Lipscomb cross country/track and field squad) and Connor
