Biography

Mario Hernandez was born in Houston, Texas. He is the son of Mario and Jane Hernandez. Mario has two siblings; Geoff, age 19 and Hilda, age 28. Mario graduated from Texas Tech Independent School District, where his tennis team was the 2003 District Champions in Doubles. Mario was recruited by other universities; including, Eastern Illinois, University of Nevada, and Eastern Kentucky. Mario chose Lipscomb because of the friendly atmosphere. "I like the quality people here and the chance to excel in Division I athletics," he said.
