Hannah Jones is in her third season with the Lipscomb women's basketball program after joining the team in 2017 as an assistant coach.
She took over as the interim coach in spring 2018.
For the past three seasons, she has been responsible for guard player development, game scheduling, and Lady Bison Alumni relations, but has with helped with all aspects of the program including recruiting, scouting reports, practice planning and film.
Prior to coaching at Lipscomb, Jones was the head girls basketball coach at Grace Christian Academy in Franklin, Tennessee for two seasons (2015-2017). She helped them transition their girls middle and high school squads from the MTAC into the TSSAA.
From 2013-2015, Jones was on the Brentwood Academy coaching staff as a varsity assistant and JV head coach. During her tenure, the school won back-to-back state championships.
Jones was also a Lady Bison in her playing days. She suited up in the Purple and Gold from 2009-2013, scoring over 1,000 points and winning the James Byers award and the Walter Nipper Sportsmanship award. She recieved her Masters of Management from Lipscomb as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/International Studies.
After her time as a player at Lipscomb, Jones played professionally in the NWBU with the Wynyard Wildcats and the SEABL with the Launceston Tornados. She was named the NWBU league MVP and led her team to the championship semifinals.
She is a Nashville native that attended Brentwood High School.
Her maiden name was Phillips before marrying former Lipscomb men's basketball director of operations Adam Jones in August 2020.
