Courtney Shelton

Courtney Shelton was named assistant coach for the Lipscomb women's golf program in September of 2019. Shelton, a native of Franklin, Tennessee, arrives at Lipscomb with plenty of experience on the links.

She played four years of collegiate golf at Lee Univeristy, a Division II program located in Cleveland, Tenn. and also played professionally from 2014-2015.

During her time at Lee University Shelton saw a wide range of success. She was voted as a two-time First Team NAIA All-American in 2012 and 2013 and was part of a team that won 20 tournaments during her collegiate career. Individually, Shelton won 10 tournaments including the NCCAA National Championship.

Shelton also displayed her hardwork in the classroom while at Lee University earning her Bachelor of Science in Political Science graduating with a 3.98 GPA. She won Lee's Paul Conn Female Athlete of the Year Award and was named to the Gulf South Conference All-Academic Team on two separtate occasions.

Shelton has also experienced success at the amateur level as well. In 2013 she won the Nashville Women's Municipal Amateur and the Tennessee Women's Four-Ball. She also finished runner-up at the Tennessee Women's Open in 2014 and the Tennessee Women's Amateur in 2011. 

When she is not hitting the links Shelton works as a Senior Commodity Buyer for Bridgestone Americas.
