2012: Made 23 appearances…went 1-1 with a 3.19 ERA…tossed 42.1 innings, highest output of any reliever…nothced three saves. 

JUCO: Led Chattanooga State to 2010 conference and regional championships and an appearance in the NJCAA World Series…Went 6-0 with eight saves as a sophomore…Fanned 36 batters in 41.2 IP…Posted a 3.46 ERA on the hill…Earned All-Region and All-TJCCAA honors as well as team MVP laurels. 

High School:  Prepped at William Blount High School where he was an All-State football player for the Governors…Earned team MVP and All-District honors in 2007 after leading the team to the district championship…Named William Blount Athlete of the Year as a senior…Named Times Daily Sports Page Athlete of the Year. 

Personal: Parents are David and Stephanie Burstrom…One brother, Trey, who also played collegiate baseball at Chattanooga State and Lee University and one sister, Tatum…Also recruited by Charleston, Tennessee Tech, Lee, Montevallo, Lincoln Memorial, Appalachian State, Northern Kentucky, Pt. Loma, Lubbock Christian and Grambling…Undeclared major.
