Lipscomb University

Ann Toy serves as the Director of Sports Nutrition. In this roll, she oversees the Fueling Station and assists coaches in properly fueling student athletes both at home and on the road. She also serves as the dietetic internship coordinator for sports nutrition and an assistant professor. Toy is a Registered and Licensed Dietitial and is a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). 

Prior to serving in her current role, Toy was part of the Lipscomb Volleyball staff for three seasons. 

Toy, then Ann Armes, played outside hitter, right side and middle blocker for the University of Kentucky from 2007-2011 serving as team captain in 2010 & 2011. During her time as a player, Kentucky made five trips to the NCAA Tournament and was a key part of the all-time winning class in school history. She was named the Southeastern Conference Volleyball Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2011 and was a seven time member of the Kentucky Dean's List. 

Toy received her Bachelor and Master's degrees from the University of Kentucky in dietetics and earned her Doctor of Education degree from Lipscomb University. 

Professionally, she is actively involved in the College and Professional Sports Dietoteics Association (CPSDA) and serves as a member of the medical advisory board for the ASUN conference. Her research interests include the health, performance and general wellbeing of collegiate student-athletes.
