Box Score KENNESAW, Ga. – Despite a hot start early in the action, the Lipscomb (6-23, 3-11) women’s basketball team could not maintain a lead as Kennesaw State (9-19, 8-6) won 96-69 on Saturday afternoon.
Lipscomb trailed by just two, 29-27 at halftime, but Kennesaw State came out on fire in the third quarter, outscoring the Lady Bisons 32-16 in the frame to take the lead for good.
Alex Banks led the way in her final regular season game in the Purple and Gold. The senior scored a team-high 22 points (on 7-9 shooting), grabbed four rebounds and made two blocks.
Junior Riley Northway joined Banks in double figures with 10, eight of which came in the first half.
Junior Loren Cagle also scored 10 points, to go along with four rebounds and a team-best five assists.

UP NEXT: With the earlier results from the ASUN factored in, the Lady Bisons are now locked into the six seed for the conference tournament with their opponent most likely set to be Jacksonville. The first round of the tournament will take place on Friday.
