NASHVILLE - The Lipscomb women's basketball team swept its weekend series with Stetson on Sunday with a 66-54 win over the Hatters in Allen Arena.
The Lady Bisons set a Division I era record for the program with seven consecutive home wins.
Four Lady Bisons finished in double-figures: Jordan Peete (13), Jane Deason (12), Sydney Shelton (12), and Taylor Clark (10).
HOW IT HAPPENED
Stetson (4-9, 2-6) started out the game on a 13-0 run, but the Lady Bisons (7-7, 4-4 ASUN) responded with an 11-0 run of their own and never looked back.
A strong second quarter showing broke the game open for the Lady Bisons, as they outscored Stetson 29-12 in the frame to take a 40-25 lead into the half.
The Lady Bisons staved off a Hatters comeback in the third quarter with timely three-pointers from Deason and Peete.
Lipscomb closed out the win in the fourth, with help from an energy-building performance off the bench from Kailey Rosenbaum.
