Bisons Fall to Owls Saturday at Ken Dugan Field

NASHVILLE – Lipscomb Baseball fell 15-2 to Kennesaw State University Saturday afternoon at Ken Dugan Field. 
 
The Owls got hot early and scored consistently through the first three innings, taking a 5-0 lead after three complete. 
 
Lipscomb was able to cut the KSU lead 5-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning. Tiger Borom worked a leadoff walk to get the inning going. Singles by Chris Bashlor, Maddux Houghton and Chaz Bertolani were able to push two runs across the plate to get Lipscomb within striking distance. 
   
Kennesaw State, however, kept its offense going through the final four innings, scoring 10 more runs to make the final score 15-2. 
 
Bashlor was the only person on the Lipscomb squad to notch multiple hits. In addition to Houghton and Bertolani, David Graves and Brian Moore were the other Bisons to contribute a hit. 
 
The Bisons fell to 6-7 (1-1 ASUN) on the year, while the Owls improved to 11-6 (4-1 ASUN).

Lipscomb and Kennesaw State will meet for game three of the weekend series Sunday, March 21 at Ken Dugan Field. First pitch is slated for 1p.m. CT.
