The Short Story: A flurry of second half goals led Lipscomb to a 4-0 victory over the University of San Diego Sunday night to improve the squad to 2-0 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Lipscomb came out on the front foot early, with Smith recording shots in both the 5' and 10' minutes to assert themselves as the aggressor.
The Bisons continued to press and earned a corner in the 12' minute. Smith got a head on the ball and put it on frame, but a San Diego save off the line kept things scoreless.
After holding nearly all the possession early, the Bisons got on the board in the 16' minute.
Louis Robinson earned a free kick outside the 16 in a dangerous spot for a good goal-scoring opportunity.

Scott Gulden was waiting and headed the ball across the line for a 1-0 Lipscomb advantage.
The Toreros settled in and earned more possession in the final minutes of the first half, but the Lipscomb back line held firm and kept San Diego scoreless through the first 45 minutes.
The second frame saw the Bisons pick up right where they left off. In the 46' minute, Spicer directed a shot on frame, forcing a save.
Smith put the Bisons up 2-0 in the 59' minute when he cleaned up a rebound off a Spicer shot and buried the ball in the back of the net.
Spicer would continue to be a problem for the Toreros back line and was on the receiving end of a pass from
Bakary Bagayoko in the 63' minute that he slotted inside the near post for a 3-0 lead.
The final strike of the night came in the 87' minute for a 4-0 lead. Robinson blasted a shot into the upper right corner of the net for the final tally of the night.

- The Bisons directed nine of its 15 shots on frame.
