SET 1
Three kills and a block out of the gate helped the Bobcats to an early 4-0 lead. Kills from Pelham and Lowry, coupled with a Bacus ace, pulled the Bisons to within two, but Ohio used a 6-1 run to extend its lead and never looked back. The Bobcats had a pair of short 3-0 runs and another 4-0 spurt to finish the set, 25-18, over Lipscomb.

Ohio blocked four balls and hit .500 in the frame with six kills from Nedoma, while Lipscomb was limited to .111 hitting as a team.

SET 2
Trading points through the first half of the frame, the Bisons led 12-10 after a kill from Dilfer. Taking advantage of an Ohio error, Lipscomb rattled off a 3-0 run and eventually went up four following a kill from Bacus, 20-16. After the Bobcats worked their way back to within one, three consecutive kills from Bacus, Pelham and Anna Aubele forced Ohio to call its second timeout late in the set. Bacus made her mark on the defensive side with a pair of stuffs down the stretch, including the set-winner alongside Aubele, to even the match with a 25-20 win.

The Bisons forced eight Ohio attack errors and held them to a -.032 clip, while racking up five blocks – three from Aubele – in the frame. In total, there were eight ties and three lead changes in the set.

The Bobcats were able to get back within six, but the Bisons were too strong down the stretch on both sides of the net.
