BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – After the first two rounds of competition, the Lipscomb Men's Golf team made up of Will Holan, Ford Goldasich, Jack Morris, Jason Hong, and Austin Aliff sit in a tie for third place at the UAB Invitational with a score of 574.
 
Holan leads the Bisons with a score of 141 through 36 holes, good enough for a tie for fourth place in the overall competition. Consistency has been the name of the game for the transfer as he shot 71 in the first-round landing one stroke under par, while shooting two under in his next 18 holes.
 
Goldasich and Morris sit in a tie for 16^th place overall with a score of 144. Goldasich turned in a score of 71 in his first round and followed up with a score of 73 in his second to put him even with par at the day's end. Morris started slow out of the gate with a 77 stroke performance, but followed up by shooting five strokes under par (67).
 
Purdue transfer Jason Hong got off to an impressive start shooting three strokes below par but was unable to keep up his pace as he shot four strokes over in his second round of play.
 
Austin Aliff turned in a score of 77 in the first round and 78 in the second.
 
Competing as an individual, Alejandro Rodriguez is tied for 67^th place with an overall score of 153.
 
"This was an excellent team effort. Really solid play from Will Holan, Ford Goldasich, and an excellent morning round from Jason Hong, as well as an excellent afternoon round from Jack Morris." Said head coach Will Brewer. "We see confidence growing and will look to compete in the final round for a strong finish" he added.
 
The Bisons will compete in the final 18 holes of the competition on Tuesday, Sept. 28.
