Men's Golf Rounds Out Regular Season at Memphis Intercollegiate

NASHVILLE – Lipscomb Men's Golf finished tied for seventh at the Memphis Intercollegiate on Tuesday in a field of 11 teams. Minas Manias led Lipscomb with a ninth-place finish, while Ciaran Murphy posted another top-10 finish for the Bisons as he tied for 10th in the field. 
 
Manias started off his event strong with three birdies in his first four holes as he led the field early. His first round was a bit of a roller coaster with six birdies and five bogeys. All told, he carded a 71 (-1) in the first round. In his next 18 holes on Monday, Manias posted a 74 (+2) as he sat tied for 10th after 36 holes. He was consistent in the final round with another 74 (+2) to finish (+3) on the tournament to finish in ninth place. 
 
Murphy shot a 75 (+3) in each of the first and second rounds on Monday, as he sat tied for 33rd after the first 36 holes. However, he soared up the leaderboard after carding a 70 (-2) in the final round on Tuesday. All told, he finished tied for 10th at (+4) with seven birdies. Murphy was second in the field in par-3 scoring, averaging 2.92 (-1). 
 
Rio Saigal was once again consistent for the Bisons. Saigal began his event with a 75 (+3) in the first round before putting in a 72 (E) in his second round as he was tied for 18th. In his final round, he shot 77 (+5) to tie for 28th
 
The final team score came from Alexander Moeldrup, who tied for 42nd. He consistently improved throughout the tournament, shooting a 77 (+5) in the first round while improving with a 76 (+4) and 75 (+3) in the second and third rounds, respectively. Moeldrup had 12 birdies over his three rounds, leading the field. 
 
Toby Bishop rounded things out for the Lipscomb team, finishing at (+13), tied for 46th in the field. He put up round scores of 75, 76, 78. 
 
Oakley Gee competed as an individual and placed 65th. He shot an 87, 77, 84 (+32). 
 
Lipscomb was third in the field as a team in par-3 scoring, averaging 3.18, while the squad tied for second in par-4 scoring, averaging 4.19. The Bisons had the fifth-most birdies in the field with 36.

Lipscomb will compete at the ASUN Championships on April 21-23 in Valdosta, Ga. At Kinderlou Forest.
