SCORING SUMMARY
  • Jelldrik Dallmann scored the first goal of the game in the 20' minute on a penalty kick.
  • Hayes Wood put one in the back of the net in the 24' minute.
  • Dallmann scored again in the 67' minute.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Lipscomb was aggressive early, with much of the first minutes being played in its attacking third. The Bisons had a good chance in the early goings when Wood unleashed a shot that looked to be curling to the upper corner but clipped the crossbar.

In the 20' minute, Dallmann was taken down in the box after a buildup from the left side. He converted from the spot for a 1-0 Lipscomb lead.

The Bisons remained aggressive and got another goal in the 24' minute when Malachi Jones connected with Burl Shepherd near the far post. Shepherd sent the ball across the face of goal where Wood was waiting and put the ball in the back of the net for a 2-0 lead.

Lipscomb outshot the Bears 6-2 in the first half and held UCA without a shot on goal through the first 45 to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

The Purple and Gold picked up where they left off early in the second half, with a couple of early free kicks in dangerous spots, but the Bears' defense held strong and kept Lipscomb from any more damage early.

Dallmann found the back of the net again in the 67' minute when Spicer ripped a shot that the Bears' keeper dove to save. Dallmann followed the shot and tapped the ball to the back of the net for a 3-0 Lipscomb lead.

The Bisons' defense continued to hold strong and finished out a 3-0 shutout on the road at Central Arkansas.
