HOW IT HAPPENED
The match was aggressive from the start, but the Bisons held much of the possession in the first half of play.
Even though North Florida was holding a very high line throughout the first half, Lipscomb was able to play much of the half in its attacking third.
In the 15' minute, Tyrese dribbled through a host of Osperys defenders and got a cross to the back post where Jelldrik Dallman came streaking in. Dallmann was nearly able to get a foot on the ball, but it skidded just past his outstretched leg.
The match remained scoreless through the first half with the Bisons holding nearly 70 percent of the possession.
The Bisons handled the opening minutes of the second half with many attacking chances, but finally broke through in the 60' minute. After earning a corner kick,
Noah Gulden put an inswinger to the back post where his brother
Scott Gulden got a head on the ball and found the opening goal for a 1-0 lead.
The flood gates opened, and the Purple and Gold scored back-to-back goals in the 65' and 66' minutes.
Noah Gulden continued to work hard and took a shot in the 65' minute that was blocked, but Dallmann followed the rebound and finished things off for a 2-0 advantage.
Shortly after, the Bisons launched another attack from the right side and
Noah Gulden once again found an open man in Lopez who rocketed a shot through the defense into the back of the net for a 3-0 lead.
Lipscomb was able to close things out and keep the clean sheet and stay perfect in the ASUN.
