FROM THE BENCH – HC BRANDON ROSENTHAL
"I thought we got off to a little bit of a slow start in set one and that we never really got into a rhythm. That carried over a little bit into set two, but I liked what I saw at the end of set two. We just kind of dug ourselves a little too big of a hole and then I think set three was just indicative of two good teams playing well.

Unfortunately, they made a couple more plays than we did. I liked what we were doing, though. I thought that we changed some of the momentum and created some good pressure. Ultimately, in that situation, you're trying to push it to four sets to get a little bit more of a chance to build on that and we didn't make enough plays down the stretch.

This is a tough lesson to learn for a number of reasons, but ultimately, that's what this is all about. I have no doubt that we'll learn from this, and we've got another tough week ahead of us, but it's also another week of great opportunities. That's the message to our team, that today wasn't our day and you kind of have to, ultimately, give them credit for being the better team today. We'll come back from this week with something to prove and something to work on. I have no doubt that our girls will grow and be better for this couple of weeks here.

So, it's a tough one obviously for our girls and for us as a coaching staff, but ultimately that's the challenge of the season so after the ride home we'll get focused here on the week ahead."
