
Aliff cards 68 in final round of Sea Best Invitational to finish 10th alongside Goldasich

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Senior Austin Aliff carded a final round 68 to climb 20 spots on the leaderboard on his way to a top-10 finish at the Sea Best Invitational Tuesday afternoon.
Aliff shot 71-74-68 to finish three strokes over par in Lipscomb's first tournament of the spring season to finish in a tie for 10th overall.
The Vero Beach, Florida native recorded seven birdies in the final round and 12 birdies on the week, which was the the fifth most of the 84-person field, to finish as the top individual at the invite. His 4.00 scoring average on par 4s was tied for the fourth lowest and he was one of just eight players to finish at even par or better.
Ford Goldasich also wrapped up the tournament in a tie for 10th after posting a +3, 73 on Tuesday. That number was ballooned by a five-over par nine on the first hole of the day, but Goldasich rebounded in a big way with five birdies over the next nine holes to keep himself in the top-10.
The junior striker closed the invite with rounds of 70-70-73 to total a +3, 213 on the week.
Will Holan carded the second-lowest total of the day for the Bisons with an even-par round. He concluded the tournament with scores of 75-73-70 for a total of 218 and finished tied for 37th.
"I was very excited to see Austin Aliff and Ford Goldasich finish in the top 10. Both played well throughout the event," said head coach Will Brewer. "Ford started the day with a big number and fought back to shoot 73. Austin had seven birdies and finished with a team low of 68. Will Holan also had a strong showing and finished with a 70 in the final round.
"The team is showing good signs of putting things together. Another day of very good and a few hiccups that caused scores to be too high for the team to move up the leaderboard. It is early in the season and we have a lot of work to do to prepare for the remainder of the season.

- Goldasich earned 11 birdies, one behind Aliff, to tie for the sixth most at the event.

- Holan's 3.08 was the lowest Par 3 scoring average on the team as he finished just one over par. He also led the Bisons with 34 pars, while Alejandro Rodriguez and Jason Hong each carded 33.
