HOW IT HAPPENED
Lipscomb was on the front foot early, immediately putting pressure on Georgia State. In the 4' minute,
Malachi Jones nearly picked off a back pass for a goal, but the Panthers' keeper made the save to keep things scoreless.
The Bisons had another great chance in the 30' minute when Dallmann turned on a shot, but it was blocked just in front of goal.
Lipscomb kept the momentum and
Malachi Jones got himself in the box with a dangerous scoring chance. He was taken down from behind and awarded a penalty kick. Dallmann took the spot kick and converted to give the Purple and Gold a 1-0 lead.
Tyrese Spicer had a chance to give the Bisons another goal in the 41' minute when he had a good look from inside the 18-yard box, but he unloaded on a shot and sent the ball above the crossbar.
Lipscomb defended well in the final minutes of the first half to take a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
Lipscomb had a lot of good looks early in the second half, but broke things open in the 66' minute. Spicer scored the Bisons' second of the night when he collected a loose ball in the box and got turned and rocketed a left-footed shot through a host of defenders for his third goal of the season.
Shortly after, Lipscomb scored its third of the night when
Louis Robinson took a free kick from the left side to Spicer who flew up the left flank and crossed the ball into
Malachi Jones who rose to get a head on the ball and snuck the shot in just above the keeper's outstretched hands for a 3-0 advantage.
Lipscomb continued to pressure the Panthers and eventually played to a 3-0 victory.
