Lipscomb had another dangerous chance in the 14' minute when Burl Shepherd earned a free kick about five yards outside the box, but the kick went just over the head of Nick Dang who was at the far post.

After back-and-forth action, Tyrese Spicer came in off the bench and had an immediate impact. In the 29' minute, he sped down the left flank and rocketed a shot that forced a big save by the Belmont keeper.

In the 38' minute, Spicer nearly broke through when he dribbled through a host of Bruins and got a left-footed shot off that trickled just wide of the far post.

Lipscomb had several more chances in the final minutes of the first half but couldn't find the finishing piece and the game was scoreless at halftime.

The Bisons once again started the second half aggressively, building several good attacks. In the 54' minute, Jelldrik Dallmann got his head on a ball at the six-yard line, but the shot sailed just over the crossbar.
