Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb women's tennis team continued their impressive start to the 2023 season by clinching a 7-0 indoor victory over Alabama A&M Bulldogs at the Ensworth High School Tennis Center. The Bisons won every set in singles competition en route to six victories and posted a pair of doubles victories to claim the non-conference victory and move to 2-0 on the season.
 
Friday's match saw the Herd return to their indoor location and continue where they left off on Sunday. The doubles teams of Anja Trbeznik and Alina Cherniaieva started things early for the Bisons with a 6-2 on court two. The pairing of Perri Howard and Liza Diachenko clinched the doubles point for Lipscomb with a 6-4 win on court three.
 
The strong play continued in singles play as the Herd swept all 12 sets of the competition to extend the team's lead to 7-0.
 
Cherniaieva opened the singles competition with a 6-1, 6-0 victory in the sixth position, followed by Sasha Dobranos who claimed a 6-1, 6-2 win on court one. Diachenko posted a 6-0, 6-2 victory in the number four spot, with Taisia Yakunina clinching a 6-2, 6-1 win in the fifth position. Trbeznik also posted a 6-3, 6-0 win in the number three spot.
 
Sofiia Paladi sealed the Bisons' win on court two as she claimed the final point in Lipscomb's favor with a 6-1, 7-5 victory to end the matchup.
