NASHVILLE - For the second consecutive week, Lipscomb Women's Volleyball's Sophia Hudepohl has been named ASUN Setter of the Week, announced Monday by the league office.
Hudepohl had 77 total assists in the Bisons' two matches against Austin Peay and North Florida while digging 17 balls in those contests. She led a Lipscomb offensive attack that hit .317 on the week, which has helped the Bisons win six straight matches and hold a 5-0 record in ASUN competition.
The honor marks her third Setter of the Week recognition and her second straight week winning the award after being honored last week for her stellar play on the road.
This season, the Preseason Setter of the Year Hudepohl ranks third in the ASUN in assists per set at 9.36 and has moved up to fifth in total assists at 496. In conference play as a unit, the Bisons rank second in points per set and third in hitting percentage due in large part to the play of Hudepohl.
Volleyball will be back in action on Friday and Saturday with home matches against Eastern Kentucky (14-2, 4-0 ASUN) and Bellarmine (5-11, 3-1 ASUN). Each game is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m. CT in Allen Arena as the Bisons look to keep things rolling.
